Jazz at The Spice of Life bar

On Tuesday 14th October 2017 current BA Jazz students and course alumnus Femi Temowo will perform at The Spice of Life Bar in Soho, as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2017.

Femi Temowo is a MOBO Award nominated musician who was raised listening to West African pioneers such as Fela Kuti, Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey. Later he discovered the legendary Charlie Parker and classic jazz albums such as Miles Davis’ ‘Kind Of Blue’. After becoming inspired by the great jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery, Femi decided to pursue his passion for the guitar and attended the BA (Hons) Jazz course at Middlesex University.

Support comes from the Tommy Remon Trio, featuring current Middlesex students Tommy Remon on guitar, Jonny Pyke on drums, and Noah Stoneman on organ.
